On the morning Apple announced the 24″ ‘iMac I called Ubertec in Parnell and ordered one. Talia said they didn’t have a price at that time, which really was quite an irrelevant statement.

Having had the machine for a couple of months, I couldn’t be happier. It supports full 1080p High Definition, it’s stupidly fast, runs Windows (queue the ‘stupid’ word again) and it’s silent. It also avoids the ignominy of having Windows defile the machine by allowing Windows applications to run inside of OS X – without Windows.

One of the best things about it is Front Row. Plays music, movies, tv shows, photo slideshows etc to the monitor or tv or whatever using the included remote. Brilliant.
